Fraffle! The Zen of Free Stuff.
Free Classes from Top US Colleges

Two professors from Stanford University are behind a push to offer more than 3 dozen college courses through a website at http://www.coursera.org.  Five universities have joined so far including Stanford,  UC Berkely, University of Pennsylvania and University of Michigan.

The schools are funded by two Silicon Valley VC firms who have ponied up more than $16 million financing.   Students can register to participate in classes that include everything from Greek mythology to neurology.

The goal of the project is to make higher education accessible and affordable but like we always say…Free is best!

Ready to celebrate National Public Lands Day? Well you should be because on Saturday, September 24 Yellowstone National Park is offering free admission to visitors! On that special day all entrance fees for the park including fees for commercial tours will be waived on that day.

Last year’s festivities were a big hit. Last year, more than 175,000 volunteers worked on 2,000 events at parks around the country. National Public Lands Day began in 1994 as a way to commemorate the preservation of our precious natural resource.
